Youth Ministry - St Thomas
Opportunities to explore our Faith through various service projects
Sophomore Course: The curriculum area of study for the students in our sophomore courses is two-fold. One, students study with portions of the series, Theology of the Body. The second component is a series of service related projects in our community. Students in past years have conducted Bingo sessions at area nursing homes, collected food for our area food pantry, made blankets for Project Linus, just to name a few. We encourage our students to live their faith through active service in our area communities and those in need.
Youth Choir: Middle school and high school students are invited to share their faith through their participation in the Youth Choir. Mrs. Marquardt coordinates this group. Let your soul sing through sharing your faith with music.
Funeral Services: Throughout the course of the year, when loved ones in our faith community leave us to join our Father in the Heavenly Kingdom, we need families to support our grieving parish members. One of the ways our students can help is to help set up and clean up for Family Funeral Dinners. In addition families may donate dishes to pass for the funeral dinners.
Other Agencies in need: There are always a number of area agencies that need assistance from volunteers. To locate a place where you can serve at area agencies, visit http://www.volunteermatch.org/
